GRADD has partnered with Unmanned Safety Institute (USI) to add USI’s training programs to its offerings at Nevada’s GRADD Innovation Campus as well as online, and by webinar.
USI has developed several training certification programs focused on creating professional operators that value safety as a top priority. At GRADD Campus in Las Vegas, Nevada, USI’s training will help you or your organization align with one of the several different certification programs.
USI is a professional organization focused on UAS flight safety through the adoption and modification of time-honored aviation safety and training practices. The Institute achieves its mission by focusing on three key tenets: human factors, technology reliability, and building safe organizations. USI training programs are offered to UAS operators of all levels and are recognized by many leading aviation insurance providers.
USI is the UAS safety trainer of choice for the Global Aerospace SM4 Safety Initiative, a leading aviation safety and risk management partnership with Global Aerospace. Global Aerospace’s innovative SM4 Safety Program focuses on four critical aspects of safety management: Prevention, Planning, Response, and Recovery.
The USI Difference:
|Flight Test and Safety Ratings||Safety Research Team||Subject Matter Experts||Advisory Board|
|The Unmanned Safety Institute employs a flight test team that maintains safety statistics that can be used to establish baselines for mean time between overhauls and inspection intervals. Lessons learned from the flight test team are incorporated into all training.||The Unmanned Safety Institute’s in-house team of researchers aggregates data from all Unmanned Safety Institute initiatives to draft standards, best practices, and operational tools as well as publish UAS safety statistics.||Unmanned Safety Institute Fellows are recognized experts in their fields. These experts contribute to course material and best practices as well as conduct original research that is published in some of the world’s leading aviation journals.||The Unmanned Safety Institute has established an advisory board composed of experts in the aviation community and industry thought leaders. This board helps establish community-based standards, flight safety ratings, and UAS best practices.|
